People who live for a certain amount of time in Poland have the opportunity to obtain Polish citizenship. You can become a Polish citizen:

By being Polish citizenship,
By recognition as a Polish citizen.

A foreigner may be recognized as a Polish citizen if he or she meets the conditions defined by Polish law. You will need to present confirmation of the command of the Polish language and you must also reside in Poland on the basis of a permanent residence permit or EU long-term residence permit.

You would also want to combine one of the following options:

1) you have stayed in Poland in an apartment for at least 3 years on the basis of the above-mentioned types of residence permits;

2) you have stayed in an uninterrupted way on the territory of Poland for at least 2 years on the basis of one of those licenses and you currently do not hold citizenship of any country;

3) you have resided legally and continuously on the territory of Poland for a period of 10 years and you hold a residence permit, a stable and regular source of income and legal title to the property in which you are staying;

4) One of your parents is a citizen.

You may also be a Polish citizen if you have lived in Poland for at least 2 years holding a permanent residence permit granted on the basis of having Polish descent or having refugee status.
